I'm Neil Lightowler, a fully qualified advanced personal trainer with over 30 years of experience in sport and fitness.

 

My business is Lighty’s PT & Bootcamps and my journey in fitness began with a personal goal: achieving a remarkable 5 and a half stone weight loss and a 33% body fat reduction, and this accomplishment fuelled my passion for helping others transform their lives through fitness.

RUGBY STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

BOOTCAMPS

  • Every session will be fun and challenging, with games to be played, not just your usual bootcamp beasting!

  • Any team-based games of fun will have mixed ability grading for each team to encourage fairness and inclusivity and grow our community.

  • Pricing starts at £7 per session or £25 for 4 sessions attended consecutively.

Kerry Proctor

TRAINER, S&C COACH, SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST

I have spent 10 years working in sports, the majority in rugby. I coached at a senior level for a veterans charity for 2 seasons before moving into the medical side of the game. My expertise is in Sports Massage Therapy, Touchline First Aid and strengthening and conditioning which I learnt working with ex and serving military personnel.

LIGHTY'S PT & BOOTCAMPS was evolved from an idea by fully qualified advanced personal trainer Neil Lightowler, who has been involved in sport and fitness to a high level for over 30 years and is on hand to guide you successfully to your goals in a professional and sensitive manner and with total confidence.
Always putting you first by helping and guiding you with anything from a structured training programme to just a few tips on fitness, health, and nutrition so that you can transform yourself and your persona into a new, more confident, vibrant and fitter person, with the emphasis on his clients having fun and enjoying exercise.
Whether your needs are fat loss, weight management, body shape transformation, help with everyday functional movement and mobility, sports-specific training or to improve your health and fitness for whatever reason, LIGHTY'S PT & BOOTCAMPS is here to help you.
After achieving 5 and a half stone weight loss on my own and 33% bodyfat loss, my thirst for improving my already extensive knowledge of fitness training was born out in me achieving Gym Instructor Level 2 and Personal Training Level 3 accreditations with the formerly the Register of Exercise Professionals, now under the governance of CIMPSA - Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity.
Having great empathy with my clients I realised that personal training isn’t just about cracking a whip and telling you what to do; it can be very different from that, and it really is all about you.

I’m 34 years old and have had back, hip, and knee pain due to injuries for the last 10 years. I have seen different specialists over that period, and not one could pinpoint the problem. I went to Total Fitness and came across Neil Lightowler. Neil assessed me and discovered my posture was out of alignment. Neil worked with me for 3 months, doing 2 sessions a week doing core strengthening cardio drills, and I have found that these workouts have helped my posture a great deal. He also gave me stretching and strengthening exercises to do at home, along with a diet plan. Neil has been extremely helpful and has been on hand to give advice and answer any questions I have at any time. Overall, I have received excellent service and would recommend Neil. Thanks again.
